This analysis draws from 1.4 million PPV messages sent through the ForgeFlow platform between January 1 and March 15, 2026. The dataset covers 624 creator accounts across 76 agencies. PPV messages were categorized into three groups based on the communication approach used.
- Native language: PPV messages written by a native speaker of the fan's language (N = 186,000 messages)
- AI-translated: PPV messages originally written in English and translated to the fan's language using ForgeFlow (N = 892,000 messages)
- English-only: PPV messages sent in English to fans whose primary language is not English (N = 322,000 messages)
Conversion is defined as a completed purchase within 48 hours of the PPV message being sent. All messages in the study were sent as individual DMs (not mass messages) and included a text pitch with a locked media attachment. Price points ranged from $5 to $50.
Overall Conversion Rates: The Three-Way Comparison
The headline finding is stark: when non-English fans receive PPV messages in their native language, they convert at 12.8%. When they receive AI-translated messages, they convert at 12.1%.
